The three fishes
In a lake there lived three
fishes. They were very good friends. The
first fish was very clever and second fish was also clever but the third fish
was stupid and never listened to anyone.
One day, the first fish was swimming
in the lake and heard some men talking, ‘ There are lots of fish here, we will
come and catch them tomorrow.’
So the first fish quickly went and told
his two friends, ‘We must go away, otherwise those men will catch us.’ The second fish said,’I will not go because,
I can save myself if they catch me.’ The
third fish said, I will also not go.How can you be sure they will come?’
So the first fish went away alone to
another lake. The men came the next day and caught the fishes. The two fishes
who stayed back were caught too.
The second fish was clever and so it
pretended to be dead,So,the men threw it back into the lake thinking it was a
dead fish but the third fish was stupid and it kept moving so the men took him
to eat for their dinner.
